Trudograd is located in a kind of Muskeg, where swampy biomes are hidden under the snow. It is implied that the sequel takes place in a winter period of Trudograd, consequences of the climate change since atomic bombs fell. Inequality is a chronic problem of the city too, with fat cats living lives of inmeasurable luxury even surpassing life quality before the war and beggars dying from starvation. Corruption is rife, and crime rate is over the rooftops (pretty much literally). Based on the rumours we heard in the first game, the Major (formerly Cadet) soon discovers that Trudograd is deep in internal political conflict, and a very dangerous threat that comes from the north makes Trudogradians feel unsafe. Trudograd becomes the new location available to explore in the sequel, and we can get now truly a glimpse of what it actually is. It is considered in the Central Wastelands as the biggest settlement of the whole USSR after the war.Īfter the ending of the first game, some characters choose to move from the central wastelands to Trudograd. Compared to Kraznosnamenny, Trudograd is a much bigger city that even gains the role of City-State, with its own political system and their own troubles. Some quest-givers come from the city, and the caravaneers describe it as a "paradise of technology" but a place where poverty and corruption is rife as well. This game encompasses a lot of changes from our previous title, that were inspired by user feedback. In the first game, Trudograd is mentioned many times, including gossips from Caravaneers, random encounters with specific NPCS and certain quests that involve Trudograd in many ways.
